दे॒व॒यन्तो॒ यथा॑ म॒तिमच्छा॑ वि॒दद्व॑सुं॒ गिरः॑ । म॒हाम॑नूषत श्रु॒तम् ॥ (६)

स्तुति करने वाले लोग स्वयं देवभाव प्राप्त करने की इच्छा से धन के स्वामी, शक्तिशाली एवं विख्यात मरुद्गण को लक्ष्य करके उसी प्रकार स्तुति कर रहे हैं, जिस प्रकार वे इंद्र की स्तुति करते हैं. (६)

The people who praise with the desire to attain divinity themselves, are targeting towards the wealthy, powerful and famous host of yagna, and praising him in the same way as they praise Indra. (6)
