आ यस्मि॑न्स॒प्त र॒श्मय॑स्त॒ता य॒ज्ञस्य॑ ने॒तरि॑ । म॒नु॒ष्वद्दैव्य॑मष्ट॒मं पोता॒ विश्वं॒ तदि॑न्वति ॥ (२)

यज्ञ-निर्वाहक अग्नि में सात रश्मियां व्याप्त हैं. वे देवों के पालक अग्नि, मनुष्यों के पालक ऋत्विज्‌ के समान यज्ञ के आठवें स्थान में बैठते हैं. (२)

There are seven rashmis pervading the yajna-sustaining agni. They sit in the eighth place of the yagna like the guardian agni of the gods, the guardian of men, the ritvijs. (2)
