क्रत्वा॒ दक्ष॑स्य॒ तरु॑षो॒ विध॑र्मणि दे॒वासो॑ अ॒ग्निं ज॑नयन्त॒ चित्ति॑भिः । रु॒रु॒चा॒नं भा॒नुना॒ ज्योति॑षा म॒हामत्यं॒ न वाजं॑ सनि॒ष्यन्नुप॑ ब्रुवे ॥ (३)

ज्ञानयुक्त देवगण ने व्यसनों से छुड़ाने वाले बल द्वारा यज्ञ में अग्नि को उत्पन्न किया. मैं अन्न की अभिलाषा से भासमान ज्योति द्वारा चमकने वाले महान्‌ अग्नि की स्तुति भारवाही अश्व के समान करता हूं. (३)

The god with knowledge created agni in the yagna by the force that got rid of addictions. I praise the great agni that shines by the bhasman jyoti with the desire for food like a load-carrying horse. (3)
