पि॒ता य॒ज्ञाना॒मसु॑रो विप॒श्चितां॑ वि॒मान॑म॒ग्निर्व॒युनं॑ च वा॒घता॑म् । आ वि॑वेश॒ रोद॑सी॒ भूरि॑वर्पसा पुरुप्रि॒यो भ॑न्दते॒ धाम॑भिः क॒विः ॥ (४)

यज्ञों के पालक, स्तोताओं को शक्ति देने वाले, ऋत्विजों के लिए ज्ञान के साधन एवं यज्ञकर्मो के कारण अग्नि अनेक रूपों के द्वारा धरती-आकाश में प्रवेश करते हैं. मनुष्यों में प्रिय एवं तेजों से युक्त अग्नि की यजमान स्तुति करते हैं. (४)

Due to the guardians of the yagnas, the givers of strength to the hymns, the means of knowledge for the ritvijs, and the yajnakarmas, the agni enters the earth and the sky through many forms. The host of the agni, beloved and bright in human beings, praises it. (4)
