वि॒श्पतिं॑ य॒ह्वमति॑थिं॒ नरः॒ सदा॑ य॒न्तारं॑ धी॒नामु॒शिजं॑ च वा॒घता॑म् । अ॒ध्व॒राणां॒ चेत॑नं जा॒तवे॑दसं॒ प्र शं॑सन्ति॒ नम॑सा जू॒तिभि॑र्वृ॒धे ॥ (८)

स्तोता, मनुष्यों के स्वामी, महान्‌, सबके अतिथि, बुद्धियों का नियंत्रण करने वाले, ऋत्विजों के प्रिय, यज्ञों के ज्ञापक, वेगशाली एवं उत्पन्न प्राणियों को जानने वाले अग्नि की वृद्धि के लिए नमस्कार एवं स्तुतियों द्वारा प्रशंसा करते हैं. (८)
