पाति॑ प्रि॒यं रि॒पो अग्रं॑ प॒दं वेः पाति॑ य॒ह्वश्चर॑णं॒ सूर्य॑स्य । पाति॒ नाभा॑ स॒प्तशी॑र्षाणम॒ग्निः पाति॑ दे॒वाना॑मुप॒माद॑मृ॒ष्वः ॥ (५)

दर्शनीय अग्नि सब जगह व्याप्त, पृथ्वी के प्रिय एवं उत्तम स्थान की रक्षा करते हैं. महान्‌ अग्नि सूर्य के विचरण स्थान आकाश की रक्षा करते हैं. वे आकाश में मरुदगणों की रक्षा करते हैं एवं देवों को प्रसन्न करने के लिए यज्ञ को रक्षित करते हैं. (५)

The spectacular agni pervades everywhere, protecting the beloved and best place of the earth. The great agni protects the sky in the moving place of the sun. They protect the deserts in the sky and preserve the yagna to please the gods. (5)
