अ॒ध्व॒र्युभिः॑ प॒ञ्चभिः॑ स॒प्त विप्राः॑ प्रि॒यं र॑क्षन्ते॒ निहि॑तं प॒दं वेः । प्राञ्चो॑ मदन्त्यु॒क्षणो॑ अजु॒र्या दे॒वा दे॒वाना॒मनु॒ हि व्र॒ता गुः ॥ (७)

सात होता पांच अध्वर्युजनों की सहायता से गमनशील अग्नि के प्रिय आहवानीय रूपी स्थान की रक्षा करते हैं. सोमपान के निमित्त पूर्व दिशा में जाने वाले, जरारहित एवं सोमरस की वर्षा करने वाले स्तोता प्रसन्न होते हैं. देवगण उन स्तोताओं के यज्ञ में जाते हैं जो देवतुल्य हैं. (७)
