अति॑ तृ॒ष्टं व॑वक्षि॒थाथै॒व सु॒मना॑ असि । प्रप्रा॒न्ये यन्ति॒ पर्य॒न्य आ॑सते॒ येषां॑ स॒ख्ये असि॑ श्रि॒तः ॥ (३)

हे अग्नि! तुम स्तोताओं की अभिलाषा सफल करना चाहते हो, इसलिए तुम संतुष्ट मन वाले हो. तुम जिन ऋत्विजों के मित्र हो, उन में से कुछ होम करने के लिए जाते हैं एवं शेष तुम्हारे चारों ओर बैठते हैं. (३)
