पृ॒थू रथो॒ दक्षि॑णाया अयो॒ज्यैनं॑ दे॒वासो॑ अ॒मृता॑सो अस्थुः । कृ॒ष्णादुद॑स्थाद॒र्या॒३॒॑ विहा॑या॒श्चिकि॑त्सन्ती॒ मानु॑षाय॒ क्षया॑य ॥ (१)

अपने व्यापार में कुशल उषा देवी के रथ में घोड़े जोड़े गए. उस रथ में मरणरहित देवसमूह यज्ञ में जाने के लिए बैठ गया. पूजा के योग्य एवं विविध गमन वाली उषा काले रंग के अंधकार से उत्पन्न होती है एवं अंधकार निवारण रूपी चिकित्सा करती हुई मानवों के निवासस्थान की ओर आती है. (१)

Horses were added to the chariot of Usha Devi, who is skilled in her trade. In that chariot, the deadly devgroup sat down to go to the yagna. Usha, worthy of worship and having varied movement, originates from the darkness of black color and comes towards the abode of human beings, treating the darkness as a cure. (1)
