ए॒तौ ग्रावा॑णौ स॒युजा॑ युङ्ग्धि॒ चर्म॑णि॒ निर्भि॑न्ध्यं॒शून्यज॑मानाय सा॒धु । अ॒व॒घ्न॒ती नि ज॑हि॒ य इ॒मां पृ॑त॒न्यव॑ ऊ॒र्ध्वं प्र॒जामु॑द्भर॒न्त्युदू॑ह ॥ (९)

हे ऋत्विज्‌! सामने रखे हुए एवं लोहे के समान दृढ़ उलूखल और मूसल को एक साथ मिला कर बिछे हुए बैल के चमड़े पर रख लो तथा यजमान के लिए सोमलता के अंशों से बने हुए धानों को कूटो. हे पत्नी! उलूखल और मूसल से धान को कूटती हुई तू हमारी संतान को सेना की सहायता से मारने के इच्छुक शत्रुओं को बाधा पहुंचा. तू मूसल उठाती हुई हमारी संतान को उन्नत स्थान प्राप्त करो.
