कण्वा॑ इव॒ भृग॑वः॒ सूर्या॑ इव॒ विश्व॒मिद्धी॒तमा॑नशुः । इन्द्रं॒ स्तोमे॑भिर्म॒हय॑न्त आ॒यवः॑ प्रि॒यमे॑धासो अस्वरन् ॥ (२)

कण्व गोत्र के ऋषियों की स्तुति जिस प्रकार तीनों लोक के स्वामी इंद्र को प्राप्त होती है, जिस प्रकार द्यावा, अर्यमा आदि सूर्य अपने प्रेरणाप्रद इंद्र से मिलते हैं, उसी प्रकार भृगु वंश के ऋषि इंद्र का आश्रय लेते हैं और प्रिय बुद्धि वाले मनुष्य इंद्र की स्तुति करते हैं. (२)

Just as Indra, the swami of the three worlds, receives the praise of the sages of the Kanva tribe, just as the Sun like Dyava, Aryama, etc. meet their inspirational Indra, in the same way, the sage of the Bhrigu dynasty takes refuge in Indra and praises Indra, a man with a beloved intellect. (2)
