यः सह॑मान॒श्चर॑सि सासहा॒न इ॑व ऋष॒भः । तेना॑श्वत्थ॒ त्वया॑ व॒यं स॒पत्ना॑न्त्सहिषीमहि ॥ (४)

पीपल उसी प्रकार दूसरे वृक्षों को पराजित करता हुआ बढ़ता है, जिस प्रकार बैल अपने दर्प से अन्य पशुओं को पराजित करता है. हे पीपल! तुम से निर्मित मणि को धारण करने वाले हम शत्रुओं का नाश करें. (४)
