समी॑क्षयन्तु तवि॒षाः सु॒दान॑वो॒ऽपां रसा॒ ओष॑धीभिः सचन्ताम् । व॒र्षस्य॒ सर्गा॑ महयन्तु॒ भूमिं॒ पृथ॑ग्जायन्ता॒मोष॑धयो वि॒श्वरू॑पाः ॥ (२)

महान्‌ एवं शोभन गान वाले मरुद्गण वर्षा के द्वारा हम पर अनुग्रह करें. जलों के रस धरती में बोए गेहूं, जौ आदि के बीजों से मिल जाएं. वर्षा के जल की धाराएं धरती की पूजा करें. वर्षा द्वारा सिंचित भूमि से नाना प्रकार की जौ, गेहूं आदि फसलें जाति भेद से अलगअलग उत्पन्न हों. (२)
