उदि॒तस्त्रयो॑ अक्रमन्व्या॒घ्रः पुरु॑षो॒ वृकः॑ । हिरु॒ग्घि यन्ति॒ सिन्ध॑वो॒ हिरु॑ग्दे॒वो वन॒स्पति॒र्हिरु॑ङ्नमन्तु॒ शत्र॑वः ॥ (१)

बाघ, चोर मनुष्य और भेड़िए—ये तीन इस स्थान से भाग कर दूर चले जाएं. जिस प्रकार सरिताएं गूढ़ रूप में बहती हैं, उसी प्रकार बाघ आदि भी दिखाई न दें. वनस्पतियों के अधिष्ठाता देव जिस प्रकार वनस्पतियों में छिपे रहते हैं, उसी प्रकार बाघ आदि भी लुप्त हो जाएं. बाघ आदि के जो शत्रु हैं, वे उन्हें दूर भगा दें.
