त्वे क्रतु॒मपि॑ पृञ्चन्ति॒ भूरि॒ द्विर्यदे॒ते त्रिर्भ॑व॒न्त्यूमाः॑ । स्वा॒दोः स्वादी॑यः स्वा॒दुना॑ सृजा॒ सम॒दः सु मधु॒ मधु॑ना॒भि यो॑धीः ॥ (३)

हे इंद्र! जन्म, संस्कार और युद्ध की दीक्षा से तीन बातें मनुष्य के जन्म के साथ ही निश्चित हो जाती हैं एवं विशाल यज्ञ को तुम तक पहुंचाती हैं. तुम सभी पदार्थो को उत्तम स्वाद वाला बनाने वाले हो तुम हमारे पदार्था को भी स्वादिष्ट बनाओ एवं सुंदर रीति से युक्त करो. (३)
