त्रि॒ते दे॒वा अ॑मृजतै॒तदेन॑स्त्रि॒त ए॑नन्मनु॒ष्येषु ममृजे । ततो॒ यदि॑ त्वा॒ ग्राहि॑रान॒शे तां ते॑ दे॒वा ब्रह्म॑णा नाशयन्तु ॥ (१)

अपने बड़े भाई से पहले विवाह करने से संबंधित पाप को प्राचीन काल के देवों ने त्रित में विसर्जित कर दिया था. त्रित ने अपने में विसर्जित पाप को मनुष्यों में स्थापित कर दिया. हे बड़े भाई से पहले विवाह करने वाले! इस कारण यदि ग्रहणशील पाप देवता ग्राही ने तुम्हें प्राप्त किया है, उसे देवगण मंत्र से नष्ट कर दें.
