उत्ति॑ष्ठ॒ताव॑ पश्य॒तेन्द्र॑स्य भा॒गमृ॒त्विय॑म् । यदि॑ श्रा॒तं जु॒होत॑न॒ यद्यश्रा॑तं म॒मत्त॑न ॥ (१)

ऋत्विजो! उठो, अर्थात्‌ अपने आसनों पर बैठे मत रहो. वसंत आदि ऋतुओं में इंद्र को देने के लिए पकाए जाने वाले हवि के भाग को देखो. यदि वह हवि पक गया है तो उसे इंद्र के निमित्त अग्नि में हवन कर दो. यदि वह नहीं पका है तो उसे पकाओ. (१)
