अ॒जो अ॒ग्निर॒जमु॒ ज्योति॑राहुर॒जं जीव॑ता ब्र॒ह्मणे॒ देय॑माहुः । अ॒जस्तमां॒स्यप॑ हन्ति दू॒रम॒स्मिंल्लो॒के श्र॒द्दधा॑नेन द॒त्तः ॥ (७)

मनीषियों ने ऐसा कहा है कि अज ही अग्नि है और अज ही ज्योति है. जीवित पुरुष के द्वारा अज को ब्रह्म के लिए देने योग्य कहा गया है. शद्धालु पुरुष द्वारा इस लोक में दान किया हुआ अज दूरवर्ती लोकों में अंधकार का विनाश करता है. (७)

Mystics have said that aj is agni and aj is light. Aj has been said to be worthy of giving to Brahman by the living man. The aj donated to this world by the wise man destroys darkness in the distant worlds. (7)
