यजमानब्राह्म॒णं वा ए॒तदति॑थिपतिः कुरुते॒ यदा॑हा॒र्याणि॒ प्रेक्ष॑त इ॒दं भूया३ इ॒दा३मिति॑ ॥ (१)

जो यजमान को अथवा ब्राह्मण को अतिथि पति अर्थात्‌ अतिथि का पालन करने वाला बनता है, वह आहार्य अर्थात्‌ यज्ञ संबंधी द्रव्य को देखता हुआ कहता है कि यह होना चाहिए. (१)

The one who becomes the host or the Brahmin who follows the guest husband i.e. the guest, he looks at the food i.e. the substance related to the yajna and says that it should be. (1)
