यत्सानोः॒ सानु॒मारु॑ह॒द्भूर्यस्प॑ष्ट॒ कर्त्व॑म् । तदिन्द्रो॒ अर्थं॑ चेतति यू॒थेन॑ वृ॒ष्णिरे॑जति ॥ (२)

जब यजमान सोमलता खोजने के लिए एक पर्वत से दूसरे पर्वत पर जाता है और सोमयाग रूप अनेक कर्म आरंभ करता है, तब इंद्र उसका प्रयोजन जानते हैं तथा यजमान की इच्छानुसार वर्षा करने के लिए मरुद्गण के साथ यज्ञस्थान में आने की तैयारी करते हैं. (२)
