यः शूरे॑भि॒र्हव्यो॒ यश्च॑ भी॒रुभि॒र्यो धाव॑द्भिर्हू॒यते॒ यश्च॑ जि॒ग्युभिः॑ । इन्द्रं॒ यं विश्वा॒ भुव॑ना॒भि सं॑द॒धुर्म॒रुत्व॑न्तं स॒ख्याय॑ हवामहे ॥ (६)

जो शूरों और कायरों द्वारा बुलाने योग्य हैं, युद्ध में हारकर भागने वाले एवं विजयी दोनों ही जिन्हें बुलाते हैं एवं सभी प्राणी जिन्हें अपने-अपने कायो में आगे रखते हैं, उन्हीं इंद्र को हम अपना मित्र बनाने के लिए मरुतों के साथ बुलाते हैं. (६)

Those who are worthy of being called by the knights and cowards, those who are defeated in battle and the victorious, whom both the losers and the victorious ones are called by them, and all the beings who are ahead of them in their respective bodies, we call the same Indra with the Maruts to make our friend.
