इ॒दं पि॒त्रे म॒रुता॑मुच्यते॒ वचः॑ स्वा॒दोः स्वादी॑यो रु॒द्राय॒ वर्ध॑नम् । रास्वा॑ च नो अमृत मर्त॒भोज॑नं॒ त्मने॑ तो॒काय॒ तन॑याय मृळ ॥ (६)

मरुतों के पिता रुद्र को लक्ष्य करके हम स्वादिष्ट पदार्थो से भी मधुर एवं वृद्धिकारक स्तुति वचन बोल रहे हैं. हे मरणरहित रुद्र! हमें मानवों का भोजन प्रदान करो एवं अपने पुत्ररूप मेरी तथा मेरे पुत्र की रक्षा करो. (६)
