हि॒मेना॒ग्निं घ्रं॒सम॑वारयेथां पितु॒मती॒मूर्ज॑मस्मा अधत्तम् । ऋ॒बीसे॒ अत्रि॑मश्वि॒नाव॑नीत॒मुन्नि॑न्यथुः॒ सर्व॑गणं स्व॒स्ति ॥ (८)

हे अश्विनीकुमारो! तुमने ठंडे जल से उस अग्नि को बुझाया था, जो असुरों द्वारा उन्हें पीड़ा पहुंचाने के लिए जलाई गई थी. तुमने उन्हें अन्नसहित बलप्रद क्षीर दिया था. अत्रि यंत्रपीड़ागृह में नीचे को मुंह करके लटकाए गए थे, तुमने उन्हें उनके साथियों सहित छुड़ाया. (८)
