मा पृ॒णन्तो॒ दुरि॑त॒मेन॒ आर॒न्मा जा॑रिषुः सू॒रयः॑ सुव्र॒तासः॑ । अ॒न्यस्तेषां॑ परि॒धिर॑स्तु॒ कश्चि॒दपृ॑णन्तम॒भि सं य॑न्तु॒ शोकाः॑ ॥ (७)

Hindi

हवि द्वारा देवों को प्रसन्न करने वाला दुःख और पापों से दूर रहता है एवं स्तोता विद्वान्‌ वृद्धावस्था से दूर रहते हैं. इन दोनों से भिन्न अर्थात्‌ दान एवं स्तुति न करने वालों को पाप और शोक प्राप्त होता है. (७)

English

The one who pleases the gods by the havi stays away from sorrow and sins and the stotha scholars stay away from old age. Unlike these two, those who do not give charity and praise receive sin and sorrow. (7)
