प्र वो॑ म॒हे सह॑सा॒ सह॑स्वत उष॒र्बुधे॑ पशु॒षे नाग्नये॒ स्तोमो॑ बभूत्व॒ग्नये॑ । प्रति॒ यदीं॑ ह॒विष्मा॒न्विश्वा॑सु॒ क्षासु॒ जोगु॑वे । अग्रे॑ रे॒भो न ज॑रत ऋषू॒णां जूर्णि॒र्होत॑ ऋषू॒णाम् ॥ (१०)

हे स्तुतिकर्ताओ! यजमान अग्नि को लक्ष्य करके वेदी की भूमि पर इधर-उधर गमन करते हैं. तुम्हारी स्तुति पूजनीय, शक्ति द्वारा शत्रुओं को हराने वाली, प्रातःकाल जागरणशील एवं पशुदाता अग्नि को प्रसन्न करने वाली हो. बंदीजन जिस प्रकार धनियों की प्रशंसा करते हैं, उसी प्रकार स्तुतिकुशल होता देवों में श्रेष्ठ अग्नि की स्तुति सबसे पहले करता है. O praises! Hosts target the fire and move around on the land of the altar. May your praise be revered, defeating the enemies by power, awakening in the morning and pleasing to the animal-giving fire. Just as the captives praise the rich, so the praise is good, the best of the gods is the praise of the fire. (10)
