को वां॑ दाशत्सुम॒तये॑ चिद॒स्यै वसू॒ यद्धेथे॒ नम॑सा प॒दे गोः । जि॒गृ॒तम॒स्मे रे॒वतीः॒ पुरं॑धीः काम॒प्रेणे॑व॒ मन॑सा॒ चर॑न्ता ॥ (२)

हे वासदाता अश्चिनीकुमारो! तुम्हारी अनुग्रह बुद्धि के अनुकूल तुम्हें कौन हव्य दे सकता है? तुम निश्चित यज्ञवेदी पर आने के लिए हमारा बुलावा सुनकर हमें पर्याप्त अन्न देने का निश्चय करके आते हो. हमें बहुत सी गाएं दो जो हमारा शरीर पुष्ट करें, रंभाती हों और दुधारू हों. तुम यजमानों की कामनाएं पूरी करने की इच्छा से घूमते हो.
