सा॒कं॒जानां॑ स॒प्तथ॑माहुरेक॒जं षळिद्य॒मा ऋष॑यो देव॒जा इति॑ । तेषा॑मि॒ष्टानि॒ विहि॑तानि धाम॒शः स्था॒त्रे रे॑जन्ते॒ विकृ॑तानि रूप॒शः ॥ (१५)

चैत्र आदि दो मासों की छ: एवं अधिक मास की सातवीं, इस प्रकार एक ही सूर्य से जो सात ऋतुएं उत्पन्न हुई हैं, उन में सातवीं अकेली है. शेष छः जोड़े वाली, जल्दी आने वाली और देवों से उत्पन्न हैं. ये ऋतुएं सबकी प्यारी, अलग-अलग स्थित और भिन्न रूपों वाली हैं. ये अपने निर्माता के लिए सदा घूमती रहती हैं. (१५)

Chaitra, etc., is the seventh of the six months of two months and more months, thus the seventh of the seven seasons that have originated from the same sun. The remaining six are paired, early-to-come and originate from the gods. These seasons are all-loving, located and different in nature. They are always moving around for their creator. (15)
