यस्मा॒ ऊमा॑सो अ॒मृता॒ अरा॑सत रा॒यस्पोषं॑ च ह॒विषा॑ ददा॒शुषे॑ । उ॒क्षन्त्य॑स्मै म॒रुतो॑ हि॒ता इ॑व पु॒रू रजां॑सि॒ पय॑सा मयो॒भुवः॑ ॥ (३)

हवि देने वाले जिस यजमान की आहुति के कारण प्रसन्न, सबके रक्षक एवं मरणरहित मरुद्गण अधिक मात्रा में धन देते हैं, उसी यजमान के हितकारी सखा के समान मरुद्गण सारे संसार को सुखरूपी जल से भली-भांति सींचते हैं. (३)

Because of the sacrifice of the host, which gives happiness, protectors of all and the uninformed deserts give more money, like the beneficial friend of the same host, the deserts irrigate the whole world well with the water of happiness. (3)
