अम्य॒क्सा त॑ इन्द्र ऋ॒ष्टिर॒स्मे सने॒म्यभ्वं॑ म॒रुतो॑ जुनन्ति । अ॒ग्निश्चि॒द्धि ष्मा॑त॒से शु॑शु॒क्वानापो॒ न द्वी॒पं दध॑ति॒ प्रयां॑सि ॥ (३)

हे इंद्र! तुम्हारा विशेष आयुध वज्र हमारी उन्नति के लिए बादलों के पास पहुंचता है. मरुत्‌ भी चिरकाल से एकत्र किए हुए जल को धरती पर बरसा देते हैं. अग्नि भी महान्‌ यज्ञ के लिए दीप्त हुए हैं. जिस प्रकार जल द्वीपों को धारण करता है, उसी प्रकार अग्नि हव्य को धारण करता है. (३)

O Indra! for our progress, Your special weapon, the thunderbolt, reaches near the clouds. The Maruts also rain the water collected from time immemorial on the earth. The agni has also been lit for the great sacrifice. Just as water holds the islands, in the same way agni sustains Havya. (3)
