प्र यदि॒त्था म॑हि॒ना नृभ्यो॒ अस्त्यरं॒ रोद॑सी क॒क्ष्ये॒३॒॑ नास्मै॑ । सं वि॑व्य॒ इन्द्रो॑ वृ॒जनं॒ न भूमा॒ भर्ति॑ स्व॒धावा॑ँ ओप॒शमि॑व॒ द्याम् ॥ (६)

इंद्र अपने महत्त्व के कारण यज्ञकर्ता यजमानों को स्वर्ग प्रदान करने में समर्थ हैं. धरती और आकाश उनके संचरण के लिए पर्याप्त नहीं हैं. जैसे बैल सींगों को धारण करता है, उसी प्रकार अन्न के स्वामी इंद्र स्वर्ग को धारण करते हैं. जैसे आकाश धरती को घेरे हुए है, उसी प्रकार इंद्र तीनों लोकों को व्याप्त करते हैं. Indra is able to give heaven to the sacrificing hosts because of his importance. The earth and the sky are not enough for their transmission. Just as the bull holds horns, so does Indra, the lord of the grain, hold heaven. Just as the sky surrounds the earth, so Indra encompasses the three realms. (6)
