ऋ॒तं दि॒वे तद॑वोचं पृथि॒व्या अ॑भिश्रा॒वाय॑ प्रथ॒मं सु॑मे॒धाः । पा॒ताम॑व॒द्याद्दु॑रि॒ताद॒भीके॑ पि॒ता मा॒ता च॑ रक्षता॒मवो॑भिः ॥ (१०)

मुझ बुद्धिमान्‌ ने धरती और आकाश के प्रति ऐसी स्तुतियां की हैं, जो चारों दिशाओं में प्रकाशित हैं. धरती और आकाश रूपी माता-पिता मुझे निंदा-योग्य पाप से बचावें एवं अपने समीप रखकर मनचाही वस्तुओं से मेरा पालन करें. (१०)

I have made such praises to the earth and to the heavens, which are illuminated in all four directions. Let the parents of the earth and the heavens protect me from condemnable sin and keep me close to you and follow me with what they want. (10)
