आ हि ष्मा॑ सू॒नवे॑ पि॒तापिर्यज॑त्या॒पये॑ । सखा॒ सख्ये॒ वरे॑ण्यः ॥ (३)

हे श्रेष्ठ अग्नि! जिस प्रकार पिता पुत्र को, भाई भाई को और मित्र मित्र को अभीष्ट वस्तुएं देता है, उसी प्रकार तुम भी मुझे इच्छित वस्तुएं दो. (३)
