इन्द्रो॑ या॒तोऽव॑सितस्य॒ राजा॒ शम॑स्य च श‍ृ॒ङ्गिणो॒ वज्र॑बाहुः । सेदु॒ राजा॑ क्षयति चर्षणी॒नाम॒रान्न ने॒मिः परि॒ ता ब॑भूव ॥ (१५)

वृत्र को मारकर वञ्रधारी इंद्र स्थावर, जंगम, सींग रहित और सींग वाले पशुओं के स्वामी बने. इंद्र मनुष्यों के भी राजा बने. जिस प्रकार पहिए के अरे नेमि में स्थित रहते हैं, उसी प्रकार इंद्र ने सबको धारण किया. (१५)
