आवः॒ कुत्स॑मिन्द्र॒ यस्मि॑ञ्चा॒कन्प्रावो॒ युध्य॑न्तं वृष॒भं दश॑द्युम् । श॒फच्यु॑तो रे॒णुर्न॑क्षत॒ द्यामुच्छ्वै॑त्रे॒यो नृ॒षाह्या॑य तस्थौ ॥ (१४)

हे इंद्र! तुम कुत्स ऋषि की स्तुति को पंसद करते थे. तुमने उनकी रक्षा की. तुमने युद्धरत एवं श्रेष्ठ गुणों वाले दशद्यु ऋषि की भी रक्षा की. तुम्हारे घोड़ों की टापों से उठी हुई धूल आकाश तक फैल गई थी. श्चैत्रेय ऋषि शत्रुओं के भय से पानी में छिप गए थे. मनुष्यों में श्रेष्ठ पद पाने की इच्छा से वे तुम्हारी कृपा के कारण ही बाहर निकले. (१४)

English

O Indra! You used to like the praise of the sage Kutsa. You protected them; you also protected the warring and noble-looking dashadyu sage, and the dust that had risen from the tops of your horses spread to the sky. Sage Shaitatreya hid in the water for fear of enemies. They went out of your grace only because of your grace, the desire to have the highest position among men. (14)
