त्रिर॑श्विना॒ सिन्धु॑भिः स॒प्तमा॑तृभि॒स्त्रय॑ आहा॒वास्त्रे॒धा ह॒विष्कृ॒तम् । ति॒स्रः पृ॑थि॒वीरु॒परि॑ प्र॒वा दि॒वो नाकं॑ रक्षेथे॒ द्युभि॑र॒क्तुभि॑र्हि॒तम् ॥ (८)

हे अश्चिनीकुमारो! सिंधु आदि सात नदियों के जल से तीन सोमाभिषेक हुए हैं. जलों के आधार तीन कलश और तीन सवनों से संबंधित तीन प्रकार की हवि तैयार है. तुमने पृथ्वी आदि तीनों लोकों से ऊपर जाकर दिवसरात्रियुक्त आकाश में सूर्य की रक्षा की थी. (८)
