च॒तुर॑श्चि॒द्दद॑मानाद्बिभी॒यादा निधा॑तोः । न दु॑रु॒क्ताय॑ स्पृहयेत् ॥ (९)

जुए के खेल में चार कौड़ियां हाथ में रखने वाले से लोग तभी तक डरते हैं, जब तक वह उन्हें फेंक नहीं देता, उसी प्रकार यजमान दूसरे की निंदा नहीं करना चाहता, अपितु उससे डरता है. (९)

In the game of gambling, people are afraid of the one who has four balls in their hands only until he throws them away, in the same way that the host does not want to condemn the other, but is afraid of him. (9)
