वि जा॑नी॒ह्यार्या॒न्ये च॒ दस्य॑वो ब॒र्हिष्म॑ते रन्धया॒ शास॑दव्र॒तान् । शाकी॑ भव॒ यज॑मानस्य चोदि॒ता विश्वेत्ता ते॑ सध॒मादे॑षु चाकन ॥ (८)

हे इंद्र! पहले तुम यह बात जानो कि कौन आर्य है और कौन दस्यु? इसके पश्चात्‌ तुम कुशयुक्त यज्ञों का विरोध करने वालों को नष्ट करके उन्हें यजमानों के वश में लाओ. तुम शक्तिशाली हो, इसलिए यज्ञ करने वालों के सहायक बनो. मैं स्तोता भी तुम्हें प्रसन्नता देने वाले यज्ञों के तुम्हारे उन समस्त कर्मो की प्रशंसा करना चाहता हूं. (८)

O Indra! First, you know who is the Aryan and who is the bandit? After this, you destroy those who oppose the sagittal yajnas and bring them under the control of the hosts. You are powerful, so be the helpers of those who perform yajna. I also want to praise the psalms for all your deeds of the yajnas that make you happy. (8)
