को अ॒द्य यु॑ङ्क्ते धु॒रि गा ऋ॒तस्य॒ शिमी॑वतो भा॒मिनो॑ दुर्हृणा॒यून् । आ॒सन्नि॑षून्हृ॒त्स्वसो॑ मयो॒भून्य ए॑षां भृ॒त्यामृ॒णध॒त्स जी॑वात् ॥ (१६)

आज यज्ञ में जाते हुए इंद्र के रथ के अग्र भाग में वीर्यकर्मयुक्त, तेजस्वी, शत्रुओं द्वारा असहनीय क्रोध से युक्त घोड़ों को कौन जोड़ सकता है? शत्रुओं पर प्रहार करने के लिए उन घोड़ों के मुख में बाण लगे हैं. वे अपने पैरों से शत्रुओं का हृदय कुचलकर मित्रों को प्रसन्न करते हैं. जो यजमान अश्चों की प्रशंसा करता है, वही जीवन प्राप्त करता है.
