तमीशा॑नं॒ जग॑तस्त॒स्थुष॒स्पतिं॑ धियंजि॒न्वमव॑से हूमहे व॒यम् । पू॒षा नो॒ यथा॒ वेद॑सा॒मस॑द्वृ॒धे र॑क्षि॒ता पा॒युरद॑ब्धः स्व॒स्तये॑ ॥ (५)

ऐश्वर्यसंपन्न, स्थावर-जंगम के स्वामी एवं यज्ञकमों से प्रसन्न होने वाले इंद्र को हम अपनी रक्षा के निमित्त बुला रहे हैं. दूसरों द्वारा अहिंसित पूषा जिस प्रकार हमारा धन बढ़ाने के लिए रक्षा कर रहे हैं, उसी प्रकार हमारे अविनाश के लिए हमारी रक्षा करें. (५)

We are calling Indra, the lord of the glorious, the lord of the real-movable and the one who is pleased with the yagnakamas, to protect us. Just as others are protecting us to increase our wealth, so protect us for our indestructible. (5)
