अग्नी॑षोमा॒ चेति॒ तद्वी॒र्यं॑ वां॒ यदमु॑ष्णीतमव॒सं प॒णिं गाः । अवा॑तिरतं॒ बृस॑यस्य॒ शेषोऽवि॑न्दतं॒ ज्योति॒रेकं॑ ब॒हुभ्यः॑ ॥ (४)

हे अग्नि और सोम! हम तुम्हारे उस पौरुष को जानते हैं, जिससे तुमने पणियों के पास से गायों को छीना था एवं वृषय अर्थात्‌ त्वष्टा के पुत्र वृत्र को मारकर आकाश में चलते हुए सूर्य को सबके उपकारार्थ पाया था. (४)

O Fire and Mon! We know your virility from whom you snatched the cows from the pangs and killed Vritra, the son of Vritra, the son of Tvarsta, and found the sun to be of all good to everyone while walking in the sky. (4)
