किं स्वि॑न्नो॒ राजा॑ जगृहे॒ कद॒स्याति॑ व्र॒तं च॑कृमा॒ को वि वे॑द । मि॒त्रश्चि॒द्धि ष्मा॑ जुहुरा॒णो दे॒वाञ्छ्लोको॒ न या॒तामपि॒ वाजो॒ अस्ति॑ ॥ (५)

कया दीप्तिशाली अग्नि ने हमारी स्तुतियां और हवि स्वीकार कर लिया है? कया हमने अग्नि के परिचरण का कर्म किया है? इन बातों को कौन जानता है? मित्र के समान स्नेहपूर्वक बुलाने से अग्नि आ जाते हैं. हमारी यह स्तुति एवं हव्य अन्न देवों के पास जावे. (५)

Has the glorious agni accepted our praises and our glory? Have we done the work of the circulation of agni? Who knows these things? The agni comes from calling affectionately like a friend. Let this praise and our heart go to the food gods. (5)
