यथा॑ ह॒ त्यद्व॑सवो गौ॒र्यं॑ चित्प॒दि षि॒ताममु॑ञ्चता यजत्राः । ए॒वो ष्व१॒॑स्मन्मु॑ञ्चता॒ व्यंहः॒ प्र ता॑र्यग्ने प्रत॒रं न॒ आयुः॑ ॥ (८)

यज्ञ करते हुए वसुओं ने पैरों से बंधी हुई गाय को छुड़ा दिया था. हे अग्नि! हमें उसी प्रकार पाप से छुड़ाओ एवं उत्तम तथा विशाल आयु दो. (८)

English

While performing the yajna, the vasus had rescued the cow tied to the feet. O agni! In the same way redeem us from sin and give us a better and greater life. (8)
