ओर्व॑प्रा॒ अम॑र्त्या नि॒वतो॑ दे॒व्यु१॒॑द्वतः॑ । ज्योति॑षा बाधते॒ तमः॑ ॥ (२)

मरणरहित व दिव्य रात्रि ने विस्तृत आकाश को व्याप्त किया तथा नीचे एवं ऊंचे रहने वाले पदार्थो को ढक लिया. रात्रि तारों के प्रकाश से अंधकार को बाधा पहुंचाती है. (२)
