दे॒वेभ्यः॒ कम॑वृणीत मृ॒त्युं प्र॒जायै॒ कम॒मृतं॒ नावृ॑णीत । बृह॒स्पतिं॑ य॒ज्ञम॑कृण्वत॒ ऋषिं॑ प्रि॒यां य॒मस्त॒न्वं१॒॑ प्रारि॑रेचीत् ॥ (४)

देवों में किसे मृत्यु के पास भेजा जाए एवं प्रजा में से किसे अमर न बनाया जाए? यजमान देवों के पालक एवं फलदाता विशाल यज्ञ को करते हैं. इस कारण यम हमारे शरीर को मौत के पास नहीं भेजते. (४)
