प॒रे॒यि॒वांसं॑ प्र॒वतो॑ म॒हीरनु॑ ब॒हुभ्यः॒ पन्था॑मनुपस्पशा॒नम् । वै॒व॒स्व॒तं सं॒गम॑नं॒ जना॑नां य॒मं राजा॑नं ह॒विषा॑ दुवस्य ॥ (१)

हे यजमान! तुम पितरों के स्वामी यम की पुरोडाश आदि के द्वारा सेवा करो. यम बहुत से पुण्यकर्म करने वालों को सुख देने वाले स्थानों में ले जाते हैं, बहुतों का मार्ग सरल बनाते हैं एवं सभी मनुष्यों की मंजिल एक है. (१)

O host! You serve yama, the lord of the fathers, through the purodash, etc. Yama takes many virtuous doers to places of happiness, makes the path of many easier and the destination of all human beings is one. (1)
