ऋ॒तं च॑ स॒त्यं चा॒भी॑द्धा॒त्तप॒सोऽध्य॑जायत । ततो॒ रात्र्य॑जायत॒ ततः॑ समु॒द्रो अ॑र्ण॒वः ॥ (१)

प्रज्वलित तप से यज्ञ और सत्य उत्पन्न हुए. इसके बाद रात तथा दिन उत्पन्न हुए. इसके पश्चात्‌ जलपूर्णं सागर उत्पन्न हुए. (१)

English

Yajna and truth were born out of the ignited penance. After this, night and day arose. After this, the waters were born. (1)
