कूचि॑ज्जायते॒ सन॑यासु॒ नव्यो॒ वने॑ तस्थौ पलि॒तो धू॒मके॑तुः । अ॒स्ना॒तापो॑ वृष॒भो न प्र वे॑ति॒ सचे॑तसो॒ यं प्र॒णय॑न्त॒ मर्ताः॑ ॥ (५)

नवीनतम अग्नि किसी स्थान में उत्पन्न होते हैं तथा प्राचीन वृक्षों में रहते हैं. श्वेतवर्ण वाले एवं धुएं से जाने गए अग्नि वन में रहते हैं. स्नान के बिना ही शुद्ध रहने वाले अग्नि बैल के समान जल के पास जाते हैं. मनुष्य एकचित्त होकर अग्नि को प्रसन्न करते हैं. (५)

The latest agnis originate in a place and live in ancient trees. The white-colored and smoke-washed agni live in the forest. Fires that remain pure without bathing go to water like bulls. Human beings are united and please the agni. (5)
