त॒नू॒त्यजे॑व॒ तस्क॑रा वन॒र्गू र॑श॒नाभि॑र्द॒शभि॑र॒भ्य॑धीताम् । इ॒यं ते॑ अग्ने॒ नव्य॑सी मनी॒षा यु॒क्ष्वा रथं॒ न शु॒चय॑द्भि॒रङ्गैः॑ ॥ (६)

Hindi

हे अग्नि! जिस प्रकार वन में घूमने वाले एवं चोरी के काम में प्राण देने के लिए तैयार दो चोर यात्री को रस्सी से बांधकर खींचते हैं, उसी प्रकार हमारे दो हाथ दस उंगलियों की सहायता से तुम्हें मथते हैं. हे अग्नि! तुम्हारे लिए यह नई स्तुति है. जिस प्रकार रथ में घोड़े जोड़े जाते हैं, उसी प्रकार तुम अपने तेजों को इस यज्ञ में मिलाओ. (६)

O agni! Just as two thieves who roam in the forest and ready to kill him in the act of theft tie the passenger with a rope and pull him, so our two hands churn you with the help of ten fingers. O agni! This is the new eulogy for you. Just as horses are added to the chariot, so you mix your radiance in this yajna. (6)
