त्वया॒ यथा॑ गृत्सम॒दासो॑ अग्ने॒ गुहा॑ व॒न्वन्त॒ उप॑राँ अ॒भि ष्युः । सु॒वीरा॑सो अभिमाति॒षाहः॒ स्मत्सू॒रिभ्यो॑ गृण॒ते तद्वयो॑ धाः ॥ (९)

हे अग्नि! गृत्समद के वंश में उत्पन्न ऋषि तुम्हारे द्वारा सुरक्षित होकर जिस तरह गुहा में छिपे धनों पर अधिकार कर सके एवं उत्तम संतान पाकर शत्रुओं का सामना कर सके, उसी तरह कृपा करो. तुम बुद्धिमान्‌ एवं स्तुतिकर्तता यजमानों को बहुत धन प्रदान करो. (९)
