अ॒यम॒ग्निः सु॒वीर्य॒स्येशे॑ म॒हः सौभ॑गस्य । रा॒य ई॑शे स्वप॒त्यस्य॒ गोम॑त॒ ईशे॑ वृत्र॒हथा॑नाम् ॥ (१)

यह अग्नि शोभन सामर्थ्य युक्त, महान्‌ सौभाग्य के स्वामी, गाय एवं उत्तम संतानयुक्त धन के स्वामी एवं शत्रुरूपी पापों के नष्ट करने में समर्थ हैं. (१)
